The two standout teams of the open series, the Blue Team from Italy and the Aces from the US played in the final. The Italians built a substantial lead that was cut back to 28 with 24 to go. In the next set, the Italians played in good form and good luck to put the issue beyond doubt. The event settled which two teams were the best in the world and their ordering. A great book whose crisp analysis of hundreds of hands make interesting reading.
