This book is a fascinating history of Contract bridge. It talks a lot about all the big names from early in the game and how bridge came to be such a passion in the United States. Definitely worth a read for the avid bridge player, particularly Duplicate. If you're into bridge history, I'd also recommend "The Walk of the Oysters".
