The first part compares the Culbertson, Four Aces and Losing Trick Approach Forcing systems, with other treatments dealt with as footnotes. There is an appendix to this section on the the Vienna System. Part two surveys popular systems that use either an artificial opening bid or employ direct method of bidding. Part three gives an overview of tournament duplicate bridge and has an appendix on Five-Suit Bridge.
