Review by Tim Bourke: The 47 bidding problems are grouped together by 18 common themes. After displaying the hands associated with them, the underlying issue is discussed. Then the full deals follows, using Whitehead's grid to show playing and quick tricks as well as the recommended bidding. Unfortunately the latter is almost uniformly awful. Also many of the deals have more than one point for declarer, which detracts from the accompanying notes on the salient points of the play.
