A summary of Whitehead's early efforts at a bidding system which was based on probable tricks. It allowed very light opening bids at the one and two level compared to Culbertson. Three of a minor was strong based on a long suit while higher bids were preemptive. Notrump bidding used the same principles, which allowed 1NT to be bid on an ordinary eleven count and 2NT on 18.
