Part one has a collection of essays on Zen in Bridge; they address personal attitudes and behaviour in a way that many readers will find insightful; alternatively, some may consider this section as little better than an assemblage of psychobabble. Part two contains a dated introduction to Bridge that introduces Goren-style bidding before the play.
