Review by Tim Bourke: Dunn states he played a game in Smyrna in the 1880s similar to bridge. There was no doubling and notrumps did not exist but the dealer had the option of naming trumps and after the lead dummy went down. Essentially, this develops the ideas in "Bridge and How to Play It". It has a section of play too though this just examines a few endings of doubtful value and is hackneyed.
