The book, like all by G. R. Desai, is a well-intentioned but a mess. Typographical errors abound, the ideas are poorly explained and the order of material adds to the confusion. These faults make any of the books a chore to read. The underlying observation has some merit; one can get an estimate of the underlying point-count value of a distribution by comparing the minimum point counts in each that will produce 13 tricks e.g. 37 points are required for a 4333 but only 34 for a 4441. However, it is not a practical method to use. The idea is explored and expanded in subsequent works. The Desai books are only for collectors.
